Garwood is a borough in Union County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 4,226. Garwood was incorporated as a borough in 1903, from portions of Cranford and Westfield.
Garwood Public Schools serves students in pre-Kindergarten through eighth, public school students in grades 9 - 12 attend Arthur L. Johnson High School in neighboring Clark.
The area is popular with commuters. New Jersey transit offers both train and bus service to Manhattan and also bus service to Newark. Newark Liberty International Airport is approximately 15 minutes away.
